Romana Kulikova, MD

Pediatric Neurology

Dr. Romana Kulikova is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Child Neurology Society. In addition to seeing patients with a broad spectrum of neurological disorders, she is dedicated to providing care for patients with neuromuscular disorders, such as muscular dystrophies and other conditions affecting the muscle or nerve. Dr. Kulikova also cares for children with spasticity due to cerebral palsy and other various causes, and offers treatment with Botox injections in addition to other treatment modalities. (For the past decade, Dr. Kulikova has worked as a neurologist in the Neurofibromatosis and Neurogenetic Clinics at St. Joseph’s Children's Hospital along with other specialists. )

Dr. Kulikova is board certified in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology. Dr. Kulikova received her doctoral degree at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She completed her residency in Pediatric Neurology at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Kulikova received additional specialized training in Pediatric Neuromuscular Medicine through a post-doctoral fellowship, also at Columbia University. Prior to and during her training in Pediatrics and Neurology, Dr. Kulikova participated in basic science research in the field of mitochondrial disorders, Glut-1 deficiency syndrome and Spinal Muscular Atrophy.
