Tammy Zigarelli

QEEG Technician

Tammy Zigarelli is an experienced neurotherapist and behavioral health professional with more than 15 years of experience supporting children and adults through individualized care. She currently serves as the QEEG and neurofeedback specialist at NJPNI where she administers QEEG assessments and helps develop individualized programs, progress reports, and treatment recommendations tailored to client needs.
In her current role at the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute, Amanda is committed to helping children and their families navigate conditions that can be both challenging and life-changing. Her clinical interests include dysautonomias, PANS/PANDAS, autoimmune encephalitis, headaches, ADHD, and autism spectrum disorders. She approaches each child with warmth, patience, and respect for individuality, combining critical thinking with compassion to provide holistic and empowering care.

Her clinical background includes extensive work in neuromodulation, behavior analysis, neurofeedback, and biofeedback. Prior to her current role, Tammy served as a neurotherapist at several neurological practices including Hudson Regional Hospital in Secaucus, NJ where she evaluated symptoms and brainwave patterns, designed individualized training plans, and guided clients through repeated sessions of therapy. She also conducted research on brainwave activity in collaboration with a neuroscience center in Edison, NJ, and a brain research foundation in NY, contributing to studies focused on brain function and neurophysiology.

She holds a strong academic and professional foundation in psychology, behavior analysis, neuroscience, and pre-medical studies, along with certifications in neuroscience, neuropsychology and EEG/neurofeedback/biofeedback. Her areas of expertise include ADHD, autism, concussions, mood disorders, TBI, and sleep dysregulation to name a few.

Family is an important part of her life, and she enjoys spending her free time relaxing outdoors, supporting her children at their sporting events, and embracing the busy, rewarding rhythm of family life.
