Dawn Milligan received her nursing diploma from Passaic County Technical Institute where she graduated as valedictorian. Dawn worked for over six years for a family practice where she helped care for pediatric patients with acute issues as well as followed their growth and development. She also spent a number of years in other areas of nursing, working as a charge nurse and managing and directing long term care and adult day care facilities before starting her career at NJPNI in 2011.
Dawn has pursued her love of patient and staff education over the years by instructing Lamaze and CPR classes and conducting in-services for staff members.
Once her three children were older, Dawn went on to earn an A.S. in Health Science at Passaic County Community College where she graduated with honors and is a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
Dawn’s love and dedication to pediatrics is evident by the service she provides to the children and families under her care.
Dawn is the nurse coordinator for our NJ Craniofacial Center and facilitates all communication and collaboration between various specialty practices and patients. She also organizes and facilitates NJPNI’s pre-med shadowing and internship programs and enjoys being their teacher and mentor.
Outside of her professional life, Dawn enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exploring new places. She also pursues her love for writing.
